24 May 2017

For the second time in history, the magnificent capital of Hungary became the venue location for European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics. The event had truly become a perfect experience both for those who were new to this sport, as well as for devoted fans of gymnastics. SmartScoring, the official timekeeper and scoring manager of competitions, was able to deliver the event excellently.

The opening ceremony of competitions had taken place in magnificent László Papp Budapest Sportarena. Among participants, there were representatives from 35 countries in different age groups: juniors (age 13-15), seniors (age 16 and above). For the very first time in history of competitions, the results for juniors and seniors were added and announced conjointly, as one TEAM results. This certainly was a novelty experience for SmartScoring, which along with presenting additional complications, also provided great experience.

The closing ceremony of competitions, a wonderful Gala event had truly become an unforgettable show for all participants and spectators, including national and international rhythmic gymnasts, acrobats, athletes and dancers with exceptional music and show-elements.

European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships appears as strategically crucial event for SmartScoring, as being organized outside of Azerbaijan, which strengthens company’s capacity and abilities.
